Simple and tasty,
yet nice enough for company.
Ingredients:
4 thin pork chops or pork steaks
1 tablespoon oil
2 medium onions, sliced lengthwise
1 clove garlic, crushed
½ cup beef broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon brown sugar
In a large skillet, brown meat in oil; remove and set
aside. In same skillet sauté onions and garlic until lightly browned. Return meat
to skillet; add mixture of broth, soy sauce, ginger and sugar. Cover and cook over low heat 15 to 20
minutes, or until meat is fork-tender. If desired, thicken pan liquid. Serve
meat topped with onions and pan liquid.
