Cooked with bacon
fat: need I say more?
Ingredients:
1 16-ounce package frozen corn
¼ cup bacon fat
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
Pour bacon fat into frying pan. Heat. Add corn. Stir in flour, sugar, and water. Let simmer
at medium heat until kernels are tender and mixture is beginning to thicken. Then raise heat. Stir at intervals, letting mixture brown
slightly on the bottom. Scrape the brown off bottom and mix this well into the
rest of the corn. Add salt and pepper to
taste, and if necessary, add a little hot water. Mixture should be moist.
