Cantonese dinner



A wonderful dish that is best when served over hot rice.The original recipe calls for pork, but we've enjoyed it over beef and chicken.

Ingredients:

1 ½ pounds of pork steak, beef roast, or chicken breast, cut into strips
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, sliced
1 red or green pepper, cut into strips
4 ounces mushrooms, sliced thin
8 ounce can tomato sauce
4 ounce can tomato paste
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 ½ tablespoons vinegar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Brown meat in oil in skillet. Drain well. Place meat and all remaining ingredients into crock pot. Mix well. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours (high for 3 hours).
